CNC is the most common type of modern intelligent industry, and people may encounter some problems when using it. However, few people repair CNC, commonly known as CNC maintenance. In most people's minds, CNC maintenance is something that only professionals can do. Moreover, when CNC machine tools break down, hiring professional maintenance personnel not only wastes time but also consumes physical energy,. Actually, it's not the case. Today, the editor has compiled some preparations for CNC maintenance that need to be done in advance. After reading these, I can also conduct appropriate fault analysis on CNC myself.

① When inquiring and investigating information that requires troubleshooting on the machine tool site, the operator should first be required to maintain the on-site fault status as much as possible and not take any measures, which is conducive to quickly and accurately analyzing the cause of the fault. At the same time, carefully inquire about the fault indication, fault appearance, and background of the fault, and make preliminary judgments based on this, in order to determine the tools, instruments, drawings, materials, spare parts, etc. that should be carried for on-site troubleshooting, and reduce round-trip time.

② After the on-site inspection arrives, the first step is to verify the accuracy and completeness of the various information provided by the operator, in order to verify the accuracy of the preliminary judgment. Due to the level of the operator, there are many cases where the description of the fault condition is unclear or even completely inaccurate. Therefore, after arriving at the site, do not rush to handle it manually and carefully investigate various situations again to avoid damaging the site and increasing the difficulty of troubleshooting.

③ Fault analysis analyzes the types of faults based on the known fault conditions and the fault classification method described in the previous section, in order to determine the troubleshooting principles. Due to the fact that most faults are indicated, in general, multiple possible causes of the fault can be listed by referring to the diagnostic manual and user manual of the CNC system that comes with the equipment.

④ Troubleshooting preparation: Some troubleshooting methods may be simple, while others are often more complex and require a series of preparatory work, such as tool and instrument preparation, local disassembly, component repair, component procurement, and even the development of troubleshooting plan steps.

⑤ Identifying the cause and investigating multiple possible causes to identify the true cause of this malfunction is a comprehensive test of the maintenance personnel's familiarity, knowledge level, practical experience, and analytical and judgment abilities with the equipment.
With the above few tips, if the CNC machine tool encounters problems again, you can also perform CNC maintenance yourself!
